Integrations

Store connectors

Connectors isolate each merchant's authentication, schema, scheduling, and terms. They produce raw product and offer records; they never expose merchant-specific fields to the public API. Supported connector modes are partner feed, authenticated API, and permitted web retrieval.

Integration lifecycle

  1. Register store capabilities and regions.
  2. Validate credentials and run a sampled import.
  3. Normalize identifiers, money, tax display, availability, and editions.
  4. Resolve products to catalog games and publish observations.
  5. Monitor freshness, error ratio, and source policy changes.

Normalization retains original_amount and original_currency, rounds only for display, and labels ambiguous availability as unknown. A mapping confidence below 0.92 requires review.

Webhooks

Register webhook endpoints through the Developer Console for alert.triggered, export.completed, and deal.updated. SteamDeals POSTs JSON with X-SteamDeals-Event-Id, X-SteamDeals-Timestamp, and X-SteamDeals-Signature: v1=<hmac-sha256>. Verify the signature over timestamp + "." + rawBody before parsing.

Successful delivery requires 2xx within 10 seconds. Retry policy is exponential: 1 min, 5 min, 30 min, 2 hr, 8 hr, then disable after 24 hr. Event IDs are stable; handle duplicates. Return 410 to permanently remove an endpoint.
